Henry 8th and his six wives (1972)

She is nothing fair and I like her not!

Waris Hussein directs this historical drama. Keith Mitchell is the dying Henry 8th looking back over his life and his six marriages.

This is one of my favourite films not only because some of my favourite actors and actresses are in but also to me, it seems a realistic portrayal of that era compared to modern stuff.

Wonderful acting too, with the likes of Lynne Fredrick and Brian Blessed in the star cast. I felt it was good seeing how the actresses playing the wives interpreted their characters.

It was also an adaptation of the BBC serial ‘The Six Wives of Henry 8th’

My rating: 5/5
